Monday Weigh In


+1.6 lbs
-15.0 lbs since January 1st.
-122.0 lbs since starting weight.

Current Weight: 136.2 lbs

This is OK. I started Maintaining at ~136 lbs so to go back up to 136 lbs from 134 lbs is a good thing, right?

HOWEVER, I can't help but feel disappointed at myself every time I see a gain on the scale and then I end up being hard on myself.

Now.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But maintenance is not just about keeping at the same exact weight the whole time, you're OK to fluctuate + or - a few lbs around your maintenance weight right?

So, I should be happy that I am still at my maintenance weight.. and not disappointed that I've gained. My head still seems to be in weight loss mode.

I just need to get over it. If I'm + or - about 3 lbs from 136 lbs then I'm good.

Did anyone else struggle with seeing a gain on the scale after moving over to maintenance? How did you deal with it?

  1. Yes maintaining is fine to be + or - a few, honestly don't beat yourself up about it. Remember also at times we hold more water in our bodies so therefor you may weigh more on some days than others. :)

    1. Yeah, It just took some getting used to. I think I'm OK now, I'm used to my weight going up and down. Thanks :)
