C25K Week 2 Day 1 and Monday Weigh-in


So, today, I went to Weigh in like I do every Monday. As I said in my last post, I was expecting this weigh in to be quite good based on my unofficial weigh in on Friday. So, without further waiting, I lost 3.6lbs this week and I'm ecstatic! I don't know HOW I managed to lose that much but I will take all the west loss I can get. This also means that I'm finally in the 11s. I'm 11st 10lbs according to the scales which I'm happy about too.

Next, today was absolutely miserable weather. It was freezing, raining and very windy. Regardless of the weather, me and my boyfriend decided to go for a run anyway, no excuses because of the weather. It had started to calm down when we got out but the wind and rain still made it difficult.

Today was C25k week 2 run 1, as I mentioned in a previous post, I was absolutely terrified of this run. After struggling so much with my last run I didn't think that would be able to run longer this week. Week 2 consists of a 5 minute brisk walk for warm up, then 90 seconds of running followed by 60 seconds of walking for a total of 20 minutes and then 5 mins brisk walk cool down.

I did surprisingly well I think. The first 90 seconds run went really well, it felt easy and went really fast. Then the next consecutive runs also went well too. I was surprised that I was able to run for the full 90 seconds without stopping so I'm really proud of myself. I managed to do the full run with no problems.

Like last week, I'm going to be doing 4 runs again this week with a rest day in between each run. I'm optimistic about the rest of the week and my next 3 runs based on my run today. I'll keep everyone updated with my progress. I hope it goes as well as I hope it will.
