C25K Week 1 Complete!

So, it's been a couple of days since I last updated with my progress on the c25k plan. I did run 3 and 4 on Friday and saturday this week. Run 3 was pretty good, was quite confident running and felt easier than the other runs. I felt optimistic about doing c25k week 2.

However, run 4 on Saturday, I felt really crap, I felt like I did on the first day, I was completely out f breath all the time and I was really struggling to complete the 60 second runs. I did complete it, but afterwards I felt completely defeated.

I tout that doing an extra day of running would help to improve my stamina when running to get me prepared for week 2, however, it felt like the opposite, I felt like I was back at the beginning and I'm not sure why this was. I can think of 3 possible reasons, 1) I ate half a pizza for lunch(not that many cals, don't freak), I did however wait almost 2 hours before I went running to ensure that my food had settled. 2) I did not have a rest day between run 3 and run 4. I don't see how this would cause a performance decrease though. 3) my mind just wasn't with me, maybe it didn't want me to run. I don't know what happened, it could have been one of those reasons or something else but I didn't feel good.

By the time I'd finished my last 60second run. I started crying, I felt like an idiot for crying but I felt so defeated. I wondered how the hell I was going to manage to run for longer next week. I just felt like something was holding me back from progressing and I don't now what it is. I still don't.

I listened to the beginning of the next weeks c25k podcast to see what to expect tomorrow when I run again. It doesn't sound too bad. 90mseconds of running and then 2 mins of walking over 20 mins. Surely my body will be able to manage the extra 30 seconds of running right?! I hope so.

I'm gonna try my hardest and push myself to she 90 seconds. I don't want to give up. My boyfriend has been so supportive, he has been running with me, tells me how proud he is of me after every single run. He told me not to worry about not doing as well this week. He told me to put both week 1 and 2 on my phone. Try week 2 and if I can't handle the 90second runs, then just do week 1 for another week. It makes sense but I don't want to do it like that.

Imngoing to make sure I pace myself, not to go too fast and at a comfortable pace so. Don't get out of breath so quickly, I'll see what happens and keep everyone updated on my progress tomorrow when I also update everyone on my weekly weigh in results which should be good based on my unofficial weigh in this week but I'm not giving anything away until tomorrow just I case my weight has fluctuated over the last few days.
